We do not use hardboard, as we consider it far too flimsy and easily
broken, which could cause injury if anyone fell against it. Manufactured in top quality MDF. The grilles are specially designed to ensure stability with continuous, excessive heat.
Assessing Risks: Safety first - radiators get hot & can cause burns, especially at risk are the very young, or the elderly. Coversafe radiator covers do not look like safety guards for machinery, although they are more than adequate for their purpose - which is to give protection to those who may be at risk from burning themselves on hot radiators.
Choice of finishes available: Fully painted, Raw MDF or White Primed MDF. Many prefer to keep the cost down by buying white primed covers. Fit them on the wall, and at a later stage sand smooth & finish with a water based emulsion to match your room colours, or perhaps experiment with decorative finishes.
